While reading through some engineering updates this afternoon, I came across an article that left me fairly perplexed. An event was held on Saturday for the engineering crew who created the first ever Mac. "RESUMES ARE DEAD!" Or, at least that's what I've seen floating around the internet recently. I, however, disagree (and not respectfully because this is terrible advice). While a LinkedIn profile is a must, there are still plenty of companies that do not use LinkedIn for recruiting. While it can be a pain to maintain, keeping an up-to-date resume (emphasis on the "up-to-date" part) on Indeed, CareerBuilder, and Monster is just as essential as having a well thought out LinkedIn profile.
