Light industrial: These positions are typically temporary and temp-to-hire positions. Most entry-level positions (e.g., packaging, assembly) are long-term or day-to-day assignments. Skilled positions (e.g., machine operator, material handler) are usually temp-to-hire positions with a regular schedule.

Administrative: These positions can range from temporary or temp-to-hire, to direct hire and contract positions. Administrative positions may include: Administrative Assistant, Accounting, Data Entry, Office Manager, General Office Support.

Doherty Staffing provides instant employment and income verification though the automated service, The Work Number.  The Work Number is a secure service used for confirming dates of employment or verifying income history.

For proof of employment, provide the following information to the requestor:

For proof of employment plus income, provide the following information to the requestor:

Access The Work Number to create a “Salary Key” that grants one-time access to your income data:

Step 2:

You will need to enter the following information to obtain a Salary Key:

How Old Do You Have to be to Apply For Work?

You must be at least 16 years old to apply in Minnesota. Wisconsin residents must be 18. In Minnesota, we have limited job opportunities available for employees under age 18 due to safety regulations and legal requirements at client companies.

What Are the Language Requirements For Most Positions?

The majority of our jobs require comprehension of work directions in English or Spanish.

Does Doherty Do Drug and Background Checks?

Some of our positions do require either a drug and/or background check.  In addition, Doherty Staffing has a policy stating that felony convictions may disqualify the applicant from becoming an employee.  All convictions should be disclosed on the job application to avoid disqualification due to falsification of the application.
